Our Pain Management Services

Your initial appointment with our treatment providers includes a comprehensive wellness check and interview to determine the pain affecting your life. We take the time to listen to your symptoms, understand the emotional and physical distress you experience, and create a treatment plan designed specifically for you. During your first appointment, we may ask you questions such as:

  • Where do you feel the most pain?
  • How would you describe the pain you feel?
  • How much physical activity do you feel comfortable performing?
  • When did your chronic pain first become noticeable?
  • Has your emotional well-being been affected by your physical pain?
  • How would you describe your current lifestyle? (i.e., exercise and healthy eating habits)

A comprehensive understanding of your lifestyle, current pain management strategies, and physical limitations helps us craft effective therapies for you. To make your initial appointment as helpful as possible, consider keeping a journal about your experience dealing with acute or chronic pain. The more information we have about your physical and emotional health, the better positioned we become to help you overcome chronic pain.

Depending on the severity of your pain, we may recommend several different therapies. Some of the most effective pain management solutions we utilize for our clients include:

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy proves especially effective at treating soft muscle aches, torn ligaments, ACL injuries, and mild to severe acute pain. Massage, hot and cold compresses, and limited-motion exercises help stimulate muscles, reduce inflammation, and help prevent the atrophy of damaged muscles. Our licensed and insured physical therapists recommend thoracic extensions and rotations for mild, moderate, and severe acute pain.

Occupational Therapy

Traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries can make daily tasks challenging. Our occupational therapy methods help patients suffering from severe physical and emotional trauma. We use tested therapeutic techniques and exercises to improve patients’ daily lives, reduce stress, and help those suffering from developmental and trauma-related issues lead independent lives.

Pain Medicines

Some patients may benefit significantly from pain medicine treatment options. However, you should consult trained professionals before starting, altering, or ending medicinal treatments, as side effects may worsen the pain or cause dizziness, fatigue, nausea, or headaches. Our treatment providers have seen firsthand the effectiveness of paracetamol, NSAIDs, and aspirins for relieving mild to moderate acute pain.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

Emotional distress often accompanies severe acute and chronic pain. Advanced cognitive behavior therapies help patients overcome the depression, anxiety, and emotional instability naturally occurring after a traumatic experience. Our friendly, caring CBT treatment providers use detailed questionnaires and goal-setting techniques to manage patients suffering from physical and emotional discomfort.

Mom was only there less than a month when she passed away. She was in quarantine for 14 days. At 100 with memory loss, she stopped eating after being removed from quarantine. The staff were so understanding and helpful with end of life care. We were able to visit her in her private room. The staff were very responsive to her needs and our questions. They made us feel like family even though they really didn't know us. So glad she was there for the end. Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!!
